September Scrapbook

Here's a little scrapbook of events from September...

I had my family over for a BBQ...and they did a little surprise party for me :)

My mom was the main culprit!

While the kids were playing yard games, these guys accidently

got knocked from the tree

We took them over to the wildlife rehabilitator

It was a fun day!

Then, on my actual birthday...I got spoiled again!

These flowers are from my sweet husband

My daughter labored diligently to make these delicious petit fours! Yummy!

Lotsa fun!

We also went to the beach on Friday to celebrate as well

Brad tries out the new metal detector (yardsale find)

We stopped at the bay to snap a few pics of the sunset...

Then had a wonderful dinner at Warrens Station--one of our fav places!

We were also celebrating our 23rd anniv.(it's today!)

I'm thankful and blessed to have married my bestfriend!

Looking forward to the next 23!

Remember those crazy squirrels I posted about?

Well, now that Spring is here, they are out sunning themselves on the top of my neighbor's shed! LOL Boy, do they have the life!

There was a little squirrel.

He ran up a tree.

When he turned around

He threw a nut at me

A Scurry of Squirrels

This is my neighbor's shed...

These are squirrels on my neighbor's shed! Lots of them!

And, they are not just content to sit ON the shed...they live IN the shed!

Can you see the Peekaboo Squirrel underneath the trim board? He's just under the big squirrel sitting upright. (You can see where the paint is worn away from their travels)

By the way, did you know that a Scurry is actually what they call a group of squirrels? They can also be called a Dray. Good homeschool question for your kids to research! :)

Renegades!

Yes, we have renegade squirrels at our house here in the 'burbs. You'd thinking living in the 'burbs would civilize them--but NO! The one above BROKE our birdfeeder. (Last year one of these renegades STOLE our suet feeder--it was never seen again!)

My son thought that if he threw some corn out there, it would deter them from the bird feeders. But NO! One had to HOG the whole thing and run away with it! LOL

And then there is this guy...he has learned to pull the top open on the feeder, and is halfway down into the tube eating the seed!

I think we're losing this battle! LOL
