Christmas Tree Hunt

You know, I keep wondering how many more years we'll all shop
together for a tree...but, we were blessed with one more year.
Here are a few snapshots from the day.

We always try and go tree hunting on Black Friday.

It's the first day they are open, there's plenty of
selection, and it's not crowded and
we can take our time.

The majority of the years we have gone back
to the same place, I remember taking Bri there
when she was a baby-it had snowed and we pulled her in a
little pink sled.
Now she's a grown up beauty!

Somehow that little toddler, Brad, wound up being
the tallest in our bunch!

I had a little fun with editing ;)

Christmas blessings to you!

Unexpected Vacation

Our family had the blessing of a last minute unexpected vacation to
Ocean City Maryland last week.
During it we celebrated my birthday, and Phil and I's 27th anniversary!
Here are some pics from our lovely time away...

Garden Goodies

Can't wait to put these Dragon's Tongue stringbeans
with the ham I'm having for dinner tonight!

My husband has worked so hard on our garden this year,
and we are reaping the benefits!

The picking below is just from today, I have a bowl 3x's that
size in the frig already!

Oh, and there were blackberries...but we ate them already!

Neat tips to make your life easier....

Down the Garden Path

My husband has done an excellent job with our gardens this year
(with no help from me or anyone else!)

thought you might like to see some of the fruits of his labor...

The flower above is bee balm and is in Bri's garden
the flower below is lantana--also Bri's

We are really enjoying so many goodies out of the gardens!
Hope yours is flourishing too...

A Different Kind of Movie Night...

Two firsts for me yesterday....went to Dewey Beach for the first time...
and watched a movie on the beach for the first time....

Bri went with me and loved it!

Of course we checked out the ocean while waiting for it to get dark

These two little girls loved screaming and jumping in the waves ;)

A whole lot of people showed up for the movie Frozen

Beautiful isn't it?
The weather was just gorgeous!
We needed jackets after the sun went down.

A big crowd
