Wow, it sure has been busy around here!
Last week was VBS week at our church, and Phil & I had the 4 & 5 year old class...
it kept us hopping!
We decorated our room for the "Investigation Destination" theme of the week

We were looking for clues to find the True King
One of my new friends was helping me out by dressing like a king :)
We had lesson time, snack time, games and crafts

The children we had were just adorable, and they were so smart!
They really learned and knew a lot!

And, they were so funny! I laughed all week!
Our Pastor's wife was sneaking to wear Spy Guy's glasses...

Spy Guy was a big hit with the children!

My daughter had the opportunity to do a chalk art for the kids,
our Pastor did the preaching.
Brad came and help us out, the kids loved him!
The pretty lady in the blue was also helping us in our class,
it was great to work with her and get to know her better :)

Especially the little girls! ;)

What a privilege to teach children about Jesus!
I am still praying for the children in my class, that they will
grow up to follow the Lord.

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Matt. 19:14

Happy happy happy!

I'm so happy to report that our camera is fixed! :)
The Lord is soooo goood!  I actually did a search on google about it, and was able to figure out that there was a tiny electronics battery hidden...that just needed replaced!  Yahoo!
Anyway, I thought I'd try and catch up a bit!
Bingley is getting to be a big boy now! He's gotten some long legs on him, and is learning new stuff everyday!
The kids and I had the privilege of visiting the church of our dear friends to do chalk art this weekend...
we cherish the time spent with them!
Here we are blueberry picking!

The blueberries are finished in the area I live in...
But up in those PA mountains--they're loaded!

Bri and Brad made a new friend...

We had a fun time!

After blueberry picking, we went back and got ready for their last night of VBS
The girls are helping set up things for dinner

The kids were adorable!

Then we went in for the chalk art

Here's the finished product...the artist, the speaker, and the pastor

We praise God for the opportunity! And, we pray seeds were planted that night.

After VBS we went next door and the sweet neighbors had fireworks
(I never saw anything like this mini hot air balloon!)

They also made a bonfire for us...

Then let the young people play some air hockey

After staying up most of the night...we got up the next morning and went to a park for a hike!

Alas, we had to head home--it's over 3 hrs to drive home

Bri took these of the tunnel on the way home...

Neat huh?

Anyway, thus ends our whirlwind weekend...
we thank God for our friends, and the opportunities He gives us!

A Blessing...

Sunday we had the privilege of driving to Hershey, PA to share in the 2nd anniversary service of Temple Bible Church with our sweet friends.

After the wonderful church service, we enjoyed a delicious fellowship meal with them.

We were so happy that Mommom came with us!

Pastor Hawes speaking to his congregation.

Briana and Brad had the privilege of doing chalk art.
Above is Bri doing the chalk art,
I couldn't photograph Brad preaching as it was too dark.

Here are Briana and Brad with our dear friends. What a blessing these friends, and their church, are to us!
We pray that God continues to bless this flock for many years to come!

Wonderful Fellowship!

Over the weekend we went to visit our friends in upstate Pennsylvania, a little over 3 hours away. We knew them from here in DE, but the husband of this family is a Pastor, and he is the shepherd of a flock in PA. So, Brad and Bri were invited to go there and do a chalk art in their new church, and we went up a day early so that we could also visit with them (we miss them!!).
This church is blessed to be right next to the lovely lake pictured above! And, our friends are blessed to live in the parsonage next door, and we were blessed to visit with them and enjoy it all!

We were blessed with a gorgeous day! So the kids were able to do a little fishing...Emily caught some too!

They also got to go out into the lake! (Even the big kids!) LOL
There is something about being by the water that is so relaxing and peaceful. :)
Bri took this great shot above of the boat and reflection. You can see below that she was doing what she likes best!

Even Ozzie got in on the fun!

The next day we went to church. What a lovely day spent with fellow believers hearing the Word of God preached...one thing I found particularly amazing about the services, was that there were 3 services, three different speakers (who had not consulted with one another about their messages) and yet they all held the same heart message for us. It was truly a God thing!

Emily blessed us with some music, via piano, flute, and singing... (sorry it's a dark photo!)

At the end of the day, the kids did the chalk art. Bri does the drawing, Brad delivers the message.

The eagle you see is only visible when the black light is on, and is not revealed to the congregation until the rest of the picture is finished, and the preaching is completed. (You can tell by the first picture what it looks like while she is drawing.)

The snapshots below were taken after church, just before we hopped in the car to drive home.

See what these poor sisters put up with from their brothers!?

We thank the Lord for the time that He gave us together!
