Nothing Can Change it!

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

Silver Celebration!

This is a big week for us--yesterday was my birthday...and today my honey and I celebrate our...
25th Wedding Anniversary!

What a short time ago this seems to have been!

\
God has blessed us with a wonderful family through this marriage!

We have had so many good times and made so happy memories that make up our love story!
We've endured hardships and difficulties too--but, together!
God has been good to us beyond measure--I am so thankful!

Happy 25th Anniversary Dear--looking forward to the ones to come!
I love you!

Precious Visit

Earlier in the month our family was so blessed to get to visit with some dear, sweet friends
from Ohio.
We don't get to see them very often, but boy do we try to make up for lost time!
We ladies yacked up a storm! lol
The evening we spent at dinner and just sharing with each other will be a memory
that I always cherish.

Love you two!

Sacrificial Love

William Gladstone, in announcing the death of Princess Alice to the House of Commons, told a touching story. The little daughter of the Princess was seriously ill with diphtheria. The doctors told the princess not to kiss her little daughter and endanger her life by breathing the child's breath.
Once when the child was struggling to breathe, the mother, forgetting herself entirely, took the little one into her arms to keep her from choking to death. Rasping and struggling for her life, the child said,
"Momma, kiss me!" Without thinking of herself the mother tenderly kissed her daughter.
She got diphtheria and some days thereafter she went to be forever with the Lord. Real love forgets self. Real love knows no danger. Real love doesn't count the cost.
The Bible says, "Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it."

But, as a mother, I can tell you that kissing that loveable little innocent baby is so easy!

God did something for us that was even more incredible. He loved us when we were UNloveable!
When we were sinful, and full of pride--He loved us, and showed it by giving us His precious and only Son.
He kissed us.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

It was an incredible gift, but, we each must accept it and make it our own.

Thank you God for loving me!

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
John 15:9

Hello February!

"Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and
for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home."
- Edith Sitwell

I love winter! Actually, I love all of the seasons. :)  And the change of seasons...
We've had a snowy winter here in our little corner of the world (much to my delight!).
February is coming in with it's own share of the white stuff, we have had a snow already, and are expecting a big one over the weekend too.
I wonder what February else will bring? When I think of February, I think of Valentine's Day...and love.
And, when I think of love, I think of GOD...

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
God is the true source of real love.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Rom. 5:8
So, I hope you stop for a minute today and just remember that God loves you. Think about it for a minute...
the God/Creator of the universe loves us! Wow...

In addition to that...He wants us no, He commands us, to love one another.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 John 3:16
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 1 John 4:7

So, during this month well known for Valentine's Day/love...remember that God loves you, and that He wants us as Christians to love one another.
Start with your family--your hardworking hubby and those littles in your own home :)
Branch out to those you know are hurting, lonely, or weary.
Alot of people don't express those things, you may have to look and pray for the opportunity--but don't worry--there are lots! God will show you.
Don't forget the person(s) that have encouraged you in the past--they need it too!
Maybe they need a hug, prayer, card, phone call, or a smile...

You'll find Joy in the doing of it--I promise!
