Unto Thee Do We Give Thanks

Today my son,  Brad, tops my "thankfulness list".
Brad has an easy smile, & is very personable

He has always liked to work, and work hard.
He does a lot of projects (particularly yard work) to keep things nice around here.
We really appreciate Brad's talents and gifts!
I love my son Brad and am glad he is such an important part of our family.

God has incredible plans in the future for Brad!
I look forward to seeing them unfold.

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks:
for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.
Psalm 75:1

Flowers Again...

Remember the flowers in my Mother's Day post from Brad?
Well, they didn't hold up well, and I mentioned it to the ladies at the
place where he got them...

So, they gave me these! (they let me pick what I wanted!)

I really enjoyed them, and appreciated the kindness of the ladies.
They said they had some problems over Mother's Day, and wanted to make it right.
It sure blessed me--i love flowers!

These little pink berries are what got me! :)
Thanks Brad! I really enjoyed them!

My Knights In Shining Armor!

Ok, these guys were real troopers!
They must really, really love me! lol

I bought this gazebo last year 75% off at Kmart...
and they put it up for me a week or so ago...

It took us 3 hours! It was hard!

It's a really good thing Brad is tall--no way could we have reached the top!

Phil finished it all by sweeping up...

And helping me put the rug and furniture in...

I love it! I look forward to fun times out here all summer/fall!
Thanks to my two heroes! :)

Puppy dog tails...

Nineteen years ago we added a new baby boy to our family...
boy did that shake things up around here! lol

Brad was born with such energy and zest for life

but, the little boy days are over!

He is now a hardworking man in his last "teen" year

We love you Brad and are proud of you

We look forward to seeing God continue to work in your life as you seek Him

We hope that this birthday is the beginning of an amazing new year in your
Christian walk Brad!

August Produce from the Garden

\
Brad's garden has been doing quite well!

His cantaloupe was a whopper! It weighed 10 lbs (and was delicious!)

This Moon and Stars Watermelon weighed in at 19.6...but, it wasn't quite ripe :(
(We have tried all the "tricks" at knowing when to pick them, but, they don't seem to work for us!)

We have picked many buckets of tomatoes. Brad picked this basket (which holds less than the buckets)
and it weighed in at 20.6 lbs. I made salsa out of them. :)

How is your garden growing? I hope that you are enjoying the
fruits of your labor too!

ChickFilA Fun!

Talk about fun!
I had the privilege of winning 50 free sandwiches from our local ChickFilA off of facebook.
They asked if you had 50 free sandwiches...what would you do with them?

I answered that I would share them with our neighbors-and they gave them to me!
So, Saturday, Brad and I went around the neighborhood handing them out--
it was great!

So much fun for the kids--they loved it! (even the BIG KIDS!)

Lots of excitement!
We had a great time doing it--thanks ChickFilA! :)

My Baby Turns 18!

Happy 18th Birthday Brad!
Oh my, how quickly time flies!
Just yesterday he was just a little guy!
The years flew by, peppered with laughter, tears, fun, scraped knees,
good times, hard times, love, and much joy!
How did he become a man overnight?

May the Lord bless you Brad as you serve Him wholeheartedly!
May He grant you wisdom, understanding and guidance.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
 they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

May He show you when to fly, when to run, when to walk, and when to wait.
We love you and we're thankful for you!
Happy Birthday Son!

A Little Fun...

For less than $2 I picked up a white marker that you can write on your windows with...
and the kids had such fun writing about Brad's Grad :)

It looked pretty neat too!

Since we live in a neighborhood, I thought it would be neat to get a sign to put in the yard
I found this really neat one at the $1 store!

Brad was trying on his gown before the grad...
One of the table decorations that went home with one of our guests...

The lovely ladies who labored so diligently to get things ready, served, and cleaned up!
I could NOT have done it without them!

Bingley enjoyed the balloons the day after the party

My mom got Brad this lovely picture frame...
with a hilarious picture in it that was supposed to be him :)

Hard to believe that was a week ago already isn't it!?
Wow!
