Unexpected Vacation

Our family had the blessing of a last minute unexpected vacation to
Ocean City Maryland last week.
During it we celebrated my birthday, and Phil and I's 27th anniversary!
Here are some pics from our lovely time away...

God blessed us with a nice time away--I

Chincoteague: Part 10 The Boat Tour

This post is about the lovely nature tour we took on the Island Queen.

The Island Queen is a pontoon boat. It gave us a very smooth ride!

My mom loved it!

We got to see them raising up a ship that ran aground.

Can you believe all the pelicans and other birds here!? They are all lined up!

Bri caught this bird trying to take off...see where it splashed? Neat.

We had a beautiful day to go!

Pelicans dot the sky.

A company cultivates their oysters here.

The kids loved it!

Awesome angle for the lighthouse.

We spotted some ponies!

I like the way the reflection is here.

The bridge.

This is my final post on our Chincoteague vacation...are you bored and glad it's over? I hope not!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing the pics. :)

Chincoteague Part 7: The PONIES!

The first thing most of us think about when we hear Chincoteague is the ponies...so, here they are!
(Note some of the pics are far away, it is hard to get close to them now--they have fencing to keep them back)

The following pics were taken of ponies purchased at the Pony Swim Auction

The guy said this one is Misty 3 a descendent of Misty

Below is a cute statue they have of her in town, and her hoof prints on the sidewalk

Brad snapped the shot below..proving that they're crazy about Misty on this island!
