Up, Up, And Away!

I just realized that one of my dear friends and I went on a hot air balloon ride
(My kids gave me a ride for Mother's Day 2013) and I never posted the pics from
it! This was on my bucket list, and it was a blast! Hope I can do it again someday!
Above they are blowing it up

Those two specks to the left are Phil and Briana :)
The view was spectacular!

My buddy Paula (we've known each other since 6th grade)
We flew over alot of Amish--here are some kids who
waved to us
Landing

We couldn't disembark until the farmer whose land
we came down on gave permission..
People stop along the road and help the balloon people take it down
My hubby was one of them :)
Others were just passersby

We hated to see it end!
But, it was the trip of a lifetime!

Bless His name

I'm so thankful for my family!
We have our share of struggles, but we also have had our joys too.
God choose to put us four together for a reason, and I pray
that His will and plan get accomplished through us.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Psalm 100:4

Be Ye Thankful...

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,
 to the which also ye are called in one body;
 and be ye thankful.

May I Have a Thankful Heart

MAY I HAVE A THANKFUL HEART

It's so easy to be thankful
When our barns are brimming o'er,
When earth's harvest fills our table,
Doting friends knock at our door.

It's so easy to be thankful
When our way is bright and fair,
When we walk in perfect wholeness,
And we have enough to spare.

But what about the barren times
When thick darkness clouds our day;
Do we offer God thanksgiving
For the trials that come our way?

For our earthly tribulations
Are a blessing from God's hand,
For there are lessons to be learned
That adversities demand.

So may I have a thankful heart,
One that's full of grateful praise.
May I recognize God's blessings
Come disguised in diffrent ways.

This was sent to me by my dear friend Marie.
I have been facebooking daily about my blessings this November,
and I thought this was just a beautiful reminder about
gratitude and thankfulness.
Hope it blesses you!

November Vingettes

Before we lose November, I wanted to post some highlights of the month that I never had time to get to, and want to capture them before December hits!
The series below is from mid-November...the kids and I went to the beach after that bad Nor'easter and this is what we saw...

Some of our bounty from the beach:

Think this thing below is from old sunken ship or something?

We love to collect beach glass! This is the most we EVER found on DE beaches!
(This is a quart sized bag)

Another November event in our household...we thought our cat was going to die, but, he didn't and seems to be doing better...

We went to the home of our friends the Howell's and had a blast with them!

Below is a picture of Bri getting ready to go and minister at the Chinese Retreat to the little 3 and 4 year olds.

Then, it was Thanksgiving! Here's our Master Carver!

After giving thanks and eating dinner...
everyone tried out Brad's carpetball table--it was a hit!

Then, there was Foosball competition...
Alot of us tried....

But NOBODY could beat these two!

They won it all!

Then, Black Friday I undecorated for fall...
Chip helped!

And Brad did the outside decorating...

And so we say goodbye to November...it was great while it lasted!

Autumn Accents

Thought I'd pop in and show you a few of the Autumn Accents around our home...hope you're enjoying the season! (Don't forget to-it's short!)

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
seeking the successive autumns."
- George Eliot
