New Recipes!

We are having a bake sale at our church tomorrow,
and I signed up to make muffins.

The ones above are Apple Cider Donut Muffins
(my family said they taste exactly like cider donuts!)
I followed the recipe for the most part--I did add a bit of chopped apples &
I did double dip the sugar top)

(like Starbucks)
I mostly followed the recipe for this one too-I left out the cloves and cardamom.
I put walnuts on the tops of some.

Here they are all packaged up and ready to go!

Both of these recipes are keepers!

Celebrating...

Wednesday was my birthday, and we went to
Shady Maple to celebrate!

We took Phil's dad and my mom
(She wouldn't let me take her pic--so I snuck the one below)
We had a great day!
We did a little shopping downstairs of course!

 Beautiful!
This giant hand below was alongside the road on the way home-
it was so interesting I had to snap a shot! ;)

I was thankful to have such a lovely day!

Am I Being Deliberate?

Much food for thought in this quote!

Getting Ready for Christmas!

If you haven't heard of Operation Christmas Child, please
click on the link and go there!

It is run by Samaritan's Purse (Franklin Graham),
and they send boxes to children all over the world at Christmas.
They use this as a way to spread the gospel, and it is very successful!

Above are some of the things I purchased this year, I'm sooo excited,
because our church is doing it this year, and it's the first time!

Above you can see one of the sewing kits I bought, I am doing
some older girls this year, and they need these.

Above are some of the fishing items I bought for some of the
older boys. (A nice man in Walmart helped me choose them).
A friend of mine whose church packs over 1,000 boxes each year
told me that the older kids often don't get boxes as not
many people want to do that age.
So, I made that a focus this year.

It's a great way to celebrate Christmas...by getting out the Word
about the Christ of Christmas!
